When driving the car will, without justification (ie there are no obsticals in front of car) automatically apply the breaks. It didn't matter if I was still moving or stopped, it would freeze. Was driving on a highway and system just went blank, lost all navigation, stereo and connectivity with phone, very aggravating when trying to follow the navigation. As I was driving on a city street on 09/03/2020 my car decided to stop automatically by itself in the middle of the street. When the vehicle was started, the entire instrument panel illuminated. It has happened twice with the most recent being 19jun2019. There are several complaints of the same senerio, nissan has actknowleged that there is an issue - but has no fix for the sensor issue. Again today, I was driving down the city road going approximately 25 mph and the car it happened again. The contact stated that the brake failure was experienced three times. A police report was filed. The contact stated that the vehicle's automatic braking feature independently activated while the vehicle was being driven at various speeds. I have had the vehicle in to the dealership for inspection of the driver seat which is cracking and snapping when making corners or turning. Emergency brakes are activating when there is no obstacle in front of vehicle. The light turned green I stepped on the gas and within a few seconds the car came to a complete stop. There were no vehicles around me and it was quite frankly very disturbing. I am not able to cover the cost of the car note because it has affected my source of income due to the recall being opened and not being fixed in a timely manner. On one of the multiple occassions, clearing the radar of bug splatter solved the problem. If I am approaching another car, the automatic brakes apply very late if cruise control is set on. It is one of the most frequently lit lamps. The failure mileage was 10,472. I drove off without incident.
